The inquiry that guided my investigation was how to express my internalized emotions through art. I often find it challenging to express emotions without analyzing them and have found through this course that it is easier for me to show rather than tell. Every piece under this inquiry expresses a different emotion/emotional state. To me, the emotion of each is particular because it's based on my feelings and the events that evoked them from me. But as I continued to develop my inquiry I realized that I am just as interested in the viewer's interpretation as I am in how I express what I feel

Throughout my inquiry, I experimented with the juxtaposition between negative emotions and highly saturated whimsical colors in conjunction with canvas size. As I progressed in my inquiry I started to experiment with heavily saturated colors. I found that by using them I could create a bright intensity that isn't typically associated with heavy emotions, but still captures the viewer's interest. I took negative space and visual weight into consideration with each composition by using it to enhance the feeling I was trying to capture. The best execution of my experimentation was in work one.
